OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Ensure quality systems throughout Canada Operations are maintained to end result quality product and on time delivery.
  • Maintain and encourage safe work environment and good housekeeping.
  • Mentor, guide, train and develop Quality Team Associates, Continuous development.
  • Direct all quality/process engineering personnel and maintain status of quality programs, including IATF16949, ISO45001 & ISO 14001 procedures programs as appropriate.
  • Provide technical support for product quality improvements.
  • Evaluate in-process and analytical data, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective action for process related concerns. Use of 8D problem solving methodology for product and process improvement.
  • Ensure all quality systems are properly designed and implemented (i.e., quality manual, calibration, PPAP, APQP, and inspection processes.
  • Provide specifications, work with purchasing in vendor selection and manage the implementation of new processes.
  • Assist in the installation, training and start up of new projects, (i.e., QA Training, and vendor PSW/PPAP’s).
  • Associate adheres to all Management Systems, (ie. Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental).
  • Investigate opportunities for cost reduction via automation and mechanization of product elements.
  • Initiate technical improvements and training in Quality/Production departments. (i.e., First off/Last off control plans, metrology training, lot control/traceability.)
  • Work as a Team Member in all situations.
  • Adhere to Company policies and procedures and IATF16949, ISO45001 & ISO 14001 procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 +Years – Manufacturing Environment in Stamping, Welding and Fabrication, Quality Assurance/Process Control

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Mechanical Engineering Certification or Quality Assurance Certification or College Diploma in related field or

Equivalent experience and ongoing record of pursuing Quality and Engineering education/courses.
