DBG is recruiting for a Financial Analyst for our Mississauga location who will be responsible for GL financial reporting and Accounts Receivables.
Full cycle Accounts Receivable including invoicing, cash application, collections and customer communications, reconciliation of customer accounts, daily deposits and customer statements.
Daily cash flow projection with an update to the daily bank reconciliations.
Produce and post general Journal Variances.
Analyze financial statement activity and report finding to the Controller.
Conduct month end activities in a timely manner.
Calculate variances to budget/forecast and report issues and recommendations
Prepare standard costs in support of regular or one time Planning (budget and forecasting) cycles
Review actual and standard/budget costs for inaccuracies
Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances
Review actual and standard/budget costs and detail causes of variances and action plans to address unfavourable items
Accounting Designation (CGA or CMA), or finalist and/or equivalent experience
3-5+ years experience in accounting environment
Proficient Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite) – Advance Excel
Use of ERP system (JD Edwards preferred)
Exceptional organizational and presentation skills
Strong attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
